What is a shopper rating and how might mine be affected?
A rating is a scoring system that reflects how well you perform your assignments. When you are first accepted as a mystery shopper with Measure Consumer Perspectives, you will automatically be given a rating of 5. As you complete assignments on time and accurately, your rating will raise. The highest rating is 10. Deductions in rating could be caused by not finishing the assignment on time, canceling the assignment, not providing the required documentation, and grammatical and spelling errors.
What is expected on an assignment?
Once you accept an assignment, we expect for you to complete the job in the required time frame. It is imperative that you carefully read the shop instructions and follow them to the letter. We need your reports to be accurate and detailed, with the proper documentation included. We expect you to not draw attention to yourself and not reveal yourself as a mystery shopper. Do not take your assignment instructions with you inside the business and do not be obvious about writing notes. If the employees know you are a mystery shopper, they will behave differently.
Who will supervise my work?
You will work with both a scheduler and an editor when doing your shop. The scheduler will make sure that you perform the shop during the required time frame and the editor will make sure you have completed the assignment within the parameters required by the shop description. It is imperative that you watch your e-mail for 24 hours after submitting a shop to ensure that the editor does not have questions that need to be answered before the results of your work can be sent to the client. We need you to answer any questions immediately.
What happens if I have to cancel a shop? Will it affect my rating?
When we assign a shop, we have a time frame set by the client that must be met. If you accept the assignment, we expect that you will fulfill the commitment for a timely and accurate completion. However, we know that emergencies happen. If you contact us immediately, we can try to work with you on either adjusting the date or reassigning the shop. Canceling a assignment the day before or day of a shop can affect your shopper's rating. The sooner you contact us for help, the more likely it is that we can resolve the situation without it affecting your rating.
How do I cancel an assignment?
Contact your shop scheduler immediately.

Do you pay referral fees if I get other people to become register shoppers?
There are times when we have very specific needs regarding a shopper. For example, we might need a CPA or a Registered Nurse. If you could provide us with a friend or family member who meets the criteria and is able to complete an assignment for us, we would then pay a referral fee.
Why don't I see available shops?
